Event: Finance Your Future

On turn start, there is a 20% chance to trigger an event that forces you to deal with a dilemma. With an initial delay of 5 turns before the first possible occurrence. There is 20 turn cooldown betweens events, and the event can occur up to 3 times per campaign.

One of the dilemma choices is to take a loan. The loan amount is calculated based on half your faction's income, this excludes background income and trade income, multiplied by 10. The minimum loan amount will always be 4000 if the calculated amount is lower.

Finance Your Future

The Counting House sends its emissaries from the Cult of Haendryk, offering you a loan that is seemingly too good to turn down. The 10% interest rate they are proposing is really quite good in the current financial climate, and knowing the cult's ties to prominent and well-respected merchant families, this all seems aboveboard…

  • Take the Loan

A merchant cult may not sound like a trustworthy bunch, but a short-term financial boost could be useful.

    • Treasury +loan amount
    • Loan Repayment (Turns: 11)
  • Reject Their Offer

A merchant cult may not sound like a trustworthy bunch, but a short-term financial boost could be useful.

    • Do Nothing

Accepting the loan will apply the Loan Repayment effect bundle to your faction. This effect bundle will last for 11 turns.

Loan Repayment

Money owed to the Counting House must be repaid. Always.
